During almost every Fashion Week on the runways of Paris, Milan and New York, when the world’s leading apparel designers declare to fashionistas around the globe what they should be wearing in the coming months, you may see “Black and White” as the hottest trend of the season.

But Black and White is not a trend.  It’s a classic that never goes out of style.  Which is why designers still lean on this enduring combination for their latest creations, oftentimes labeling it as the current “trend.”

Black and white is the yin and yang of color combos.  The epitome of opposites attracting.

The dramatic fusion of black and white is always chic and cosmopolitan, while also appearing crisp and clean.

So prevalent is the blending of black and white, that it’s seen in everything from food (Oreos) to art (photography) to nature (zebras), even music (Paul McCartney/Stevie Wonder’s duet, “Ebony and Ivory”).

So closely tied are these two, that you often cannot have one without the other.

Perhaps Coco Chanel said it best about this timeless amalgamation, “I have said that black has it all. White, too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”

MICHAEL KORS (THE PIER SHOPS AT CAESARS)

Practically no Fashion Week goes by without a Michael Kors black and white collection.  In fact, Kors himself usually only wears black and white.

One of his latest designs for summer is a sleeveless black and white striped, paneled knit dress with a scoop neckline.  It’s effortlessly cool and ideal for the warmer months.

WHITE HOUSE/BLACK MARKET (THE QUARTER AT TROPICANA)

This company built its entire brand around black and white.  While they’ve recently begun spattering in a few bolder colors like red, orange or green, their trademark absence of color will always remain true.

You’ll find apparel here that can take you from office hours to happy hour.  From cute dresses to awesome denim, you’ll find striking outfits for practically any occasion.  And be sure to check out their accessories.  They’re fabulous and very nicely priced.

ENEXTDOOR

Seduction and charm embody Italian brand Blumarine.  They also exemplify Blumarine’s studded dress sold in either bright white or black ($695).

Golden pyramid studs outline this precisely engineered crepe dress.  The curve-hugging silhouette along with the cutout detail at the neck, make this dress super sexy.  The cap sleeves help it retain an air of innocence.

WATCH STATION (TANGER OUTLET, THE WALK)

Name any fashion designer and Watch Station at The Walk probably carries his or her timepieces.  Of special note are the black and white watches by highly recognized brands such as Michael Kors, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Armani and Burberry.

Insiders’ Tip:  Watch Station is currently running Buy One Get One 50 percent off promotion.  FYI, their watches are already about 50 percent off retail prices to begin with.

TOMMY BAHAMA (THE PIER SHOPS AT CAESARS)

Tommy Bahama’s Fall 2013 collection has some great new pieces that follow this universally chic trend -- such as the Tambour long-sleeved cowl neck dress in black ($138).  It’s elegant and sexy enough for a romantic dinner, yet also suitable for a relaxed cocktail hour.  Top it off with their black and white fedora for an ultra-cool look ($68).

THE GIFT SHOP (SHOWBOAT and BALLY’S), CAESARS EXCLUSIVELY (CAESARS) and THE VIKING COOKING SCHOOL (HARRAH’S)

Next time you throw a party, decorate your table with Mudpie’s latest collection of plates, silverware and more based on the iconic Fleur De Lis symbol.  This black and white serveware includes wine accessories, textiles and a variety of other tabletop accessories.  It’s a contemporary twist that’s sure to bring a touch of chic to your event.
