Such a good time, it’s almost divine
Providence is the premier upscale nightclub in The Quarter at Tropicana Casino and Resort and the second of two nightlife venues by the same name, the original being a beautiful space in Manhattan that started out as a church in the 1920s. Atlantic City’s version retains some of those design elements, from its shimmering chandeliers to its wood-panel flooring. The designers also added new features, such as twin DJ towers that look like floating, steel-ringed clouds, to create a unique and awesome atmosphere.
Avoid the line outside their pearly gates
Sometimes the queue to get in Providence extends across the second level of The Quarter, especially on Saturday nights and holidays. On Thursdays there is usually less of a line outside and more room to party inside. If you’re getting bottle service or some sort of party package, then you can skip the line, not to mention avoid paying cover. At the very least, you should call or go online to sign up for the guest list and better your chances of getting in faster.
Take the stairway to heaven
The club is one main room with an upstairs balcony that overlooks the dance floor and has its own bar. It provides a cool perspective of the hot action below, and when the club is jam-packed — as it tends to be — it is probably the easiest way to get a drink because it is usually a little less crowded up there.
They’ll throw you one hell of a party
Providence has a variety of party packages and the ability to host private events for as many as 800 people. One of their more popular offerings is the Ultimate Bachelorette Package, which includes complementary admission for up to eight ladies and a reservation at one of their 30 VIP areas with two bottles of liquor, party favors, gift bags, a personal photographer and private male dancers. For more information, go to their website or call (609) 345-7800.
EDM is in the "Pink House"
Providence launched its “Pink House” promotion on Wednesday nights this summer, focusing the entertainment on electronic dance music with DJs and dance-pop singers. They no longer open on Wednesdays, but they moved the Pink House parties to their Friday night after-hours party. From 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. you can experience some of the best house music your shoes and feet can take.
