It’s like Santa Claus made all of our wishes come true. Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, after a three-year hiatus, decided to bring back its Babes of Borgata Calendar for 2013.
Photographed by Amber Gray, who has shot Penelope Cruz, Beyonce, Tyra Banks and has worked for Maybelline NY., Marie Claire, Sony, Elle Germany and others, the 12-month calendar once again features Borgata associates as calendar girls. And if there is something about the style of the calendar that looks familiar, that’s because Gray also worked with Borgata on its “The Show That Never Ends” branding campaign.
“We brought it back, truly, because of popular demand,” says Borgata Senior Vice President Joe Lupo. “There was oversaturation of calendars in the market for a while, which was one of the reasons we stopped, but we felt it was appropriate again with our branding campaign. And our calendar just has a different approach than others because it speaks of our brand, which is fun, sexy and upscale. And the girls just loved doing it. I think it’s one of the best calendars we have done.”
More than 100 Borgata associates auditioned to be featured in the calendar, including cover girl Stephanie Calabrese, a beverage server for B Bar.
New this year, the resort is posting individual behind-the-scenes videos on the Borgata Facebook page, where people can also win free, personalized calendars and VIP bottle service at mur.mur.
