Elevate your expectations
Seriously, take the elevator up to the fifth floor at The Chelsea hotel and you will find one of the coolest party spots in Atlantic City. What’s known simply as C5 is an upscale lounge with a lively dance floor and an open-air rooftop pool with a view of the ocean. At the height of the summer, the club is open four nights a week and it also has daytime, poolside parties filled with beautiful people. Nowhere else in the city can you find all those elements combined into one.
10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Open 1 to 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays in the summer.
Party at your own pace
Some people think megaclubs are stressful because of the crushing crowds, and other people think bars are boring because there’s not enough energy. At C5 you don’t have to compromise. Guests enter into a stylish room with fireside couches where anyone can chill and converse, they dance in another room with bottle service tables and the DJ booth, and they easily order drinks in another room or on the outside roof. It’s perfect for people who think it’s possible to celebrate and be comfortable at the same time.
Daytime is the right time
Saturdays and Sundays at C5 offer truly exciting daylife events, with DJs spinning under a cabana by the rooftop pool as a young crowd in bathing suits and bikinis moves to the grooves in and out of the water. Saturdays are “Bare-As-You-Dare” from 1 to 5 p.m., and “Sunkissed Sundays” are from 1 to 6 p.m. It’s also worth checking out the early evening “One Love” party at the ground level floor at the Oasis Pool, where live bands play island music in a more low-key scene from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Saturdays.
They own the night
The Chelsea opens its club four nights a week, with Latin Night on Thursdays, “Sexed Up Celebrations” on Fridays, “High Voltage Saturdays” and “Euro Party Sundays.” Each night features a different DJ playing an expertly composed mix of the best tracks out there, and can always expect a nice-sized crowd of good-looking, hip people who are there to have a good time.
Take a seat at the big spenders table
With 25 indoor tables, 17 outdoor tables, 10 poolside platforms, eight cabanas and one grand cabana, there are more than enough ways to get the VIP treatment at C5. Check minimums begin at $275 and hike upwards of $2,000 depending on your target baller status. The more you spend, the cooler the set-up. The grand cabana at the head of the pool is $4,000 to reserve.
