Here's the Atlantic City Insiders’ guide to the best of the resort's club scene so you can get in where you fit in.
The premier nightclubs cater to a crowd in their 20s and early 30s who dress to impress and start lining up between 11 p.m. and midnight with plans of staying until 4 a.m. or later. Every club is packed to capacity on the weekends, especially in the summer, while only certain places open their doors on weeknights. Dress code is strict, so dress in your finest attire.
The largest nightclub in the city, by far, is The Pool at Harrah's Resort. A poolside patio for hotel guests during the day, it turns into an all-out party on weekends and Wednesday nights, with a capacity of more than 2,000 people and a steady line-up of celebrities and performers. Leave the swimsuit at home and grab your tightest dress or freshest blazer, unless of course you're reserving one of the VIP hot tubs.

Just across the marina district from Harrah's is Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, which has two of the best clubs in the city with mixx and mur.mur. Both clubs attract some of the biggest DJs in the world on a regular basis, and consequently their dance floors are packed beyond capacity on any night they're open. Mixx is the larger of the two, with two floors and trapeze artists that descend from the high ceiling, while mur.mur has more of an underground, ultralounge vibe.

On the opposite side of the city is Dusk at Caesars, a beautifully designed venue filled with beautiful people. Stylish bars are on each side of the room, and bottle service booths surround the dance floor in the middle, all below a ceiling laden with rotating lights and a ridiculous sound-system. The owners of Dusk also recently opened a new venue by the club's entrance called 21 Bar, which doubles as a pre-game destination to hear live music and an after-hours lounge on the way out of the club.

The Quarter at Tropicana is home to a number of bars and clubs, but the most high-profile is Providence. With 11,000 square feet and two levels, Providence is a destination on Thursday, Friday or Saturday nights, with DJs spinning a stream of mash-ups and house music and gorgeous professional dancers gyrating inside cages and atop platforms throughout the club.
For table reservations, call 609-345-7800.
If you're looking for something slightly more intimate but with no loss of energy, there is also the fifth floor of the Chelsea boutique hotel, where the C5 nightclub is located. There are three rooms open year-round, with a dance floor, bar area and fireside lounge, but during the summer months the rooftop, poolside patio opens for parties in the day and night.
For reservations, call 609-428-4544.
