Here are some Atlantic City Insiders tips where you can eat well but for a small price in the city.
Trump Plaza’s 24 Central brings a piece of Vegas to Atlantic City with its awesome all-day steak and eggs offer. Normally, a juicy steak with two eggs would set you back at least 15 bucks. But at the Plaza it’s just $4.99. You can also grab a soup and half a sandwich there for $4.99, plus $1.99 shrimp cocktail. Borgata – better known for its roster of high-priced celebrity chefs – has a few bargains buried in its basement food court called The Cafeteria. There’s everything from salads to Chinese, but we’re insiders, so listen to us when we say you shouldn’t miss out on Tony Luke’s, the Philadelphia institution known for its awesome cheesesteaks and chicken cutlets, and Fat Burger, a national chain with some tasty burgers. Across the marina, Harrah’s has its own Taste of the Shore food court with some South Jersey favorites, particularly Primo Pizza and Sack O’ Subs. Grab a slice for a few dollars or a regular sub for about $7 and still have some money left for a Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. For the best deal, hit the Boardwalk and head outside of the casinos to the Irish Pub, a local institution known for its Irish theme, flowing Guinness drafts and cheap eats, particularly at lunch, where the Poor Richard’s special of a soup and whole sandwich is $3.50.
