WHO IS SHE: Jewel’s debut album “Pieces of You” was released in 1995, and initially didn’t chart. A year later, however, the single “Who Will Save Your Soul” became a big hit, followed by “You Were Meant For Me” and “Foolish Games,” which helped the singer/songwriter become one of the most successful female artists of the late 1990s. Her gorgeous looks and yodeling-influenced voice didn’t hurt either. Along with Melissa Etheridge, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette, Jewel was at the forefront of the female rock movement in the mid to late ’90s.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Eighteen years after she first hit the charts, Jewel continues to put on memorable performances highlighting her beautiful, entrancing voice and catchy tunes. Fans can expect a show that is chock full of hits as the current tour is in support of Jewel’s “Greatest Hits” album. Songs such as “Who Will Save Your Soul,” “You Were Meant For Me” and “Foolish Games” will have audience members singing along, while Jewel’s natural charisma will keep everyone captivated for the entire evening.
WHAT’S NEW: Jewel’s “Greatest Hits” album was released in early February and includes guest vocals from Kelly Clarkson on “Foolish Games” and The Pistol Annies on “You Were Meant For Me.”
