James Taylor at Borgata
WHO IS HE: James Taylor has recorded 22 albums and won six Grammy awards over the course of his illustrious career. His distinctive gentle vocal style and folk guitar playing have made him a favorite of the baby boomer generation. Some of Taylor’s biggest hits have been “Fire and Rain,” “Handy Man,” “How Sweet it Is (To be Loved by You)“ and “Shower the People.” In addition to music, Taylor also is well known for his support of environmental and progressive causes.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer James Taylor has been writing, recording and performing music for the past five decades. Fans can expect a pleasant night of music and storytelling at the Borgata Event Center this weekend. Concertgoers can expect to hear all of their favorites, including “You’ve Got a Friend,” “Sweet Baby James,” “Carolina in My Mind,” “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)“ and “Shower the People” along with a handful of covers from the likes of The Temptations, The Silhouettes, George Jones and Rodgers and Hammerstein.
