Gogol Bordello at House of Blues
WHO ARE THEY: Gogol Bordello is a Gypsy punk band from New York that formed in the late 1990s and has a sound that incorporates accordion and violin into punk and dub. The band released its first album, “Voi-La Intruder,” in 1999. They released four more albums before signing on with Rick Rubin’s American Recordings for “Transcontinental Hustle.” The band is known for its relentless touring schedule.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Gogol Bordello is a band with its own style that doesn’t cater to trends and has built a following the old-fashioned way, through nonstop touring. At the House of Blues on Friday night, the gypsy punk rockers will let it all hang out, performing songs from throughout their catalogue, including their most recent album, “Transcontinental Hustle.”
WHAT’S NEW: Gogol Bordello released a new track “Let’s Get Crazy” as part of Coca-Cola’s advertising campaign.
