WHO ARE THEY: Although he had always dreamed of forming a big band, Brian Setzer initially attained success as the frontman of The Stray Cats, a 1980s rockabilly band that scored hits with “Stray Cat Strut,” “Rumble in Brighton” and “Rock this Town.” Finally, after the band fell apart, Setzer was able to revive his career by putting together a 17-piece band known as the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Several albums followed.

WHAT TO EXPECT: For the ninth consecutive year, The Brian Setzer Orchestra is putting on a Christmas Extravaganza that is sure to get your jingle bells rocking. Setzer helped to put the whole swing revival movement on the map in the 1990s with his cover of Louis Prima’s “Jump Jive An’ Wail.” The annual Christmas shows were spawned as a result of the 2002 album “Boogie Woogie Christmas.” Fans can expect the band to playing an abundance of holiday favorites from this album including “Jingle Bells,” “Boogie Woogie Santa Claus,” “Blue Christmas,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “Sleigh Ride,” “The Nutcracker Suite” and the Setzer-penned “So They Say It’s Christmas.”

SHOW INFO: Tickets are $57.50, $72.50 and $87.50, and the show begins 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Caesars Atlantic City’s Circus Maximus Theater.
