The MAPS Foundation of South Jersey will kick off its annual "Sounds of the Season" series of free shows at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City beginning Saturday, Dec. 1, and running through Dec. 23.
Each weekday from 10:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. local school choirs will perform holiday music in the lobby of Resorts in an effort to raise money for MAPS, an organization assisting individuals and families in South Jersey with multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's or Parkinson's disease whose resources are strained.
The holiday dance shows will take place every weekend before Christmas from noon to 4 p.m., with dancers from local studios performing to holiday music.
Donations will be accepted. Stuffed animals and hand-decorated wreaths will be available for purchase in Resorts' lobby during all performances, with proceeds benefitting MAPS.
