WHO ARE THEY: Run by president Sampson Lewkowicz, Sampson Boxing is one of the sport’s most prestigious promotional firms. It represents a host of the world’s top fighters and well as up and comers.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Friday Night Fights’ main event will be a light welterweight matchup between Santo Domingo’s Victor “Mermelada” Cayo (31-1, 22 KOs) and Maryland’s Emmanuel “Tranzformer” Taylor (16-1, 11 KOs). At one time Cayo was ranked No. 3 in the world before losing fights to Lamont Peterson and Nate Campbell. Lately, however, he’s been back to his winning ways. Taylor, meanwhile, is coming off a big sixth-round TKO over Raymond Serrano. In another exciting bout, Russia’s Magomed “Mago” Abdusalamov (16-0, 16 KOs) will put his WBC United States heavyweight title on the line against Puerto Rico’s Victor Bisbal (21-1, 15 KOs). Millville’s own lightweight Thomas “Cornflake” Lamanna (10-0, 6 KOs) will be featured on the undercard along with WBC Super Welterweight Youth World Champion John “Dah Rock” Jackson (14-1, 13 KOs), super middleweight Julius “The Chef” Jackson (14-0, 10 KOs), lightweight Scott “Bang Bang” Burrell (6-1, 5 KOs) and undefeated super middleweight Isiah Seldon (6-0, 3 KOs).
